Stay-Cation (Almost)

Last Saturday Eric came home from work with one thing on his mind...campout. He immediately put together a fire pit with the help of all 3 boys.

Pretty soon they had a roaring fire.

And 2 tents set up. (See the tomato bushes and the lone stalk of corn in the background - - what's left of our garden.)

Enjoying the fruits of their labor. S'mores!

Not to be left out, Lucy came and sat in a chair by the fire.

So here we are by the fire again. Unfortunately, it was all a little too much excitement for Keaton and Cole. They just could not stay inside the tent. Kept going back and forth to the house and jamming the zipper on the tent. Dad gave up and sent them to bed inside. Maybe when they're a little older? Dad is still good at making memories. And now we have that firepit, which we've used several times since.
