2019 Hike #2

Headed about an hour north for this short 3 mile hike.  #2 in our summer series. Aside from a couple of sets of stairs (special thank you to my friend Malinda for doing the stairs with me every week...a great warm up for the hiking!) this was a relatively flat hike.

Had a few fits and starts with the youngest in our crew...it was a bit warm out...she said she was hot and tired. She slowed to a crawl (literally).  But after we made her the "leader", her spirit perked right up!

Beautiful bridges, waterfalls and a cemetery. It was a great Father’s Day Hike! I love looking up into the treetops and seeing light filtering through. Reminds me of our Creator - His creation, so genius and intricate in design.

Genesis 1:1-5 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.”
