Sometimes when I doubt my ability to parent -- like when I over-utilize the TV or the iPad as a childcare tool so they will stay quiet while I work -- the boys again show me that they are going to be fine.
They got "StickBots" for Christmas. And they've been making stop-motion videos. Their Aunt Laurie reminded me this is something that their dad used to do when he was young. (See video below.)
It just requires
me taking the effort to say, "Turn off electronics" for them to pull out their toys (they have a room full of them) and do something creative with those.
